October news update

Hi all, It continues to be a busy month in October. Our 2yo filly Quintessa (or as we now call her "the lovely Quinn"), was reserve champion at the American Hanoverian Society futurity class, and both Debbie Bly and I were very proud owners!!

Devon update from Susan

Our two year old filly, "Quintessa" made us all proud at the Dressage at Devon breed show by scoreing a 79.4% in theUSDF/Great American Ins Filly Championships. She was in very good company... competing with the best of the best, and ended up in 5th place!! We were all very impressed with her stunning presence and good manners on show grounds. Many thanks to Brendan Curtis for a super job of handling! Quintessa is owned by Susan and Debbie Bly (all photos by Debbi ).

About Susan

Not only is Susan an active upper-level dressage competitor, but she also judges at many of the area shows where you compete. Susan is an FEI dressage rider and trainer based at Wolfhaven Farm in southern Maryland. She has been an active instructor, trainer, and competitor in dressage for 25 years, and has successfully trained and coached students through the Advanced 3-day level in eventing, and to FEI levels in dressage. She is an FEI "I" eventing judge, as well as a USEF "R" dressage judge. Susan has been approved for her "r" Dressage Sport Horse license. Susan has judged over 200 USEF/USEA recognized competitions, plus more than 40 international events, including Championships for 6-year-old Event Horses at Le Lion d'Angers in France, the 2006 and 2007 North American Young Riders Championships and Scotland's Blair International in 2006.
